JP Functional pottery are handmade pieces, individually designed and uniquely glazed. Each dish is made with an actual leaf or flower or weed plant. The plant is rolled into the clay and when the dish is fired, the plant burns up leaving behind the imprint. Then the dish is glazed with a semi transparent type of glaze to highlight the imprint.
